Karen Howells

Karen is also a highly respected and seasoned workshop leader, speaker and meeting facilitator.  Karen and her partners have worked locally, throughout the US, as well as globally for clients such as NIKE, Intel Corporation, American Express, Barco Medical Imaging, Freightliner, Cadence Design Systems, Hewlett Packard and many other Fortune 500 companies, as well as in smaller entrepreneurial companies. Current clients include Intel, Wieden and Kennedy, R2C, Pacific Natural Foods, Solar World, Mass Ingenuity, and Crimson Trace.

In 2004 The Howells Group created an innovative approach with one of the world’s largest technology companies to develop and retain key performers in leadership.  This program continues to be utilized for this client and is currently being adapted for the global scope of the entire organization. James holds a Masters in Coaching and Leadership Development.  He has earned the prestigious credentials of a Professionally Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation. James has taught over 50 Graduate-level coaching courses and trained over 500 new coaches.

Coaching clients include leaders from a wide range of organizations and sectors; R2C Advertising, Compassion International, Clark Nuber Global Accounting, Chapman University Leadership, Nike, Merrill Lynch, Williams Sonoma, entrepreneurs and best selling authors.  James, a strategic partner with the Howells Group, brings proven tools and a process to grow leaders.

Kelly Johnston

She is committed to the mission that healthy organizations provide a cornerstone to healthy people, teams and  communities. Her consulting expertise includes building strong individual skills, organizational cultures that flourish, as well as structures and systems needed for sustainable success

Kelly holds a Master in Science of Organizational Development, which combined coursework from MBA and graduate Psychology programs. She works in both the public and private sector and her experience ranges from individual coaching and leadership development to large-scale change initiatives focusing on strategic initiatives and organizational culture. She has also led enterprise-level restructuring and organizational design initiatives. Clients most often comment on the clarity they receive in working with Kelly, both in terms of their own personal and professional goals and for how to best move their organization forward.

Jeana Kats

Jeana leverages her 25 years of interdisciplinary human capital experience to drive stellar individual engagement and overall business success. She worked for the Fortune 50 firm, Intel Corporation, from 2001-2021 where she held progressively larger and more complex roles in Business HR, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, and Culture Transformation. Her last role with the company was Global Director of Learning and Development for Intel’s critical talent and 14,000 people managers.

Jeana is legendary in her ability to facilitate increased awareness in her clients which, in turn, expands their leadership capability and capacity. She is someone leaders and organizations seek out to be a trusted thought partner in time of change, transition, and transformation.

Jeana holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota, a leadership coaching certification from the Hudson Institute of Coaching (International Coaching Federation certified, and a diversity/equity/inclusion/belonging certification from Stanford University.  She is also certified in meeting facilitation as well as numerous assessments and psychometrics.

Andrea Emerson

Andrea Emerson weaves curiosity and empathy with relational and communication tools to equip leaders and organizations to integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion values in their strategies and practices. She leverages her extensive non-profit leadership development background as she consults with and facilitates learning experiences for both corporate and non-profit organizations. She believes teams are posititioned to thrive when they have the tools to explore the differences each contributor brings to the table.

Her passion for inclusive leadership also manifests in her career coaching work with women whether they are on the front-end of that journey, entrepreneurs, or navigating the complexity of senior leadership roles. She loves the collaborative work of partnering with clients to bring more of their authentic and intuitive leadership to the forefront.

Tom Moore

Tom Moore, Senior Consultant, received a Master in Business Administration degree at the University of Portland and consults in the public and private sectors. He has been providing organizational and leadership development services for more than 20 years.  Tom has supported organizations through large-scale transformation, enterprise performance management, strategic initiatives, change management, leadership development and executive coaching. Over the last 10 years he has been engaging primarily with organizations in the Pacific Northwest, working at the executive and enterprise level on organization transformation. Tom’s passion is facilitating work that brings the strengths and ideas from a team that achieves their goals and sets them up for ongoing success.

Karrine Granato

Her extensive background in theatre arts, program development and business training will empower you to be the best you can be. Karrine is a professional actress, choreographer and director with more than 20 years experience in all elements of theatrical productions.

Karrine uses her theatrical experience to help all her clients move toward mastery in their communication and presentation skills. Karrine has worked with such clients as Intel, Hewlett Packard, Nordstrom and Bonneville Power Administration to deliver results oriented communication trainings. Using her varied background, she coaches clients to tap into their unique style to maximize their impact as a communicator. She also coaches clients in refining their content and message to connect with their audience and meet their communication objectives.

Karrine also has a depth of experience in program management and assists clients in developing large and small programs for their employees. Through her experience as the Program Director for the Girl Scouts she impacted thousands of young women and hundreds of adult volunteers in their development of communication, interpersonal and life skills.

Rob Howells

ROB_NEW_SmallWith a diverse professional background in both for profit and not-for-profit organizations, Rob brings broad experience to leaders needing support and counsel to develop a strong transition plan to ensure an organization’s ongoing legacy.

Over the last 30 years, Rob has held leadership roles in banking, sales and marketing, technology, education, and social services. He has a strong track record as a team player, people developer and growth oriented leader.

Rob has served on boards and worked closely with boards in his leadership roles giving him a strong foundation to serve both founders, executive directors and their boards to work together towards succession.

The son and grandson of founders, it’s literally been in his “DNA” to help grow organizations in multiple sectors, coming alongside the founder at various stages of their organization’s development to bring needed processes, talent development, sales and efficiency to increase organization’s effectiveness and to ensure an ongoing legacy. He has a strong passion to help founders and younger talent form powerful partnerships that is needed.

Madison Berry-Sellers

Madison is The Howells Group’s Client Services Representative. With a diverse background in music, radio, advertising, and nonprofit fundraising, she helps the partners of The Howells Group effectively connect and successfully communicate with each client.
