“The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark”. – Michelangelo
Nearly a month ago I graduated; at 58 I walked across the stage at commencement and received my Masters Degree. It was a dream I wasn’t sure I could ever realize in the midst of an already very full life. And that which made achieving the dream that much sweeter! I’ve enjoyed celebrating but know that it’s time for refreshed vision for my life. Not just new or more things to do – but clearer vision to connect the things I do chose to do. Vision – a compelling picture of a desirable future that is not yet a reality. I’m spending time shifting into more playing, more praying, more slowing down and contemplating: “how aligned (or not) are my days and activities with what I most value.” But living without a vision just isn’t a healthy option for me.
